Scilab goes Tango!

This time I created an icon for “the open source platform for numerical computation”, Scilab:

This is the old version:

This is the new one:

Thanks to you as well, Antoine!

I love the new icon!… the 128×128 version doesnt look really good…

  7. Emmanuel Says:

Nice work, though your drawing looks less closely to a real puffin than the original icon.

IMHO, the head should be more round, you should leave the stroke near the eye, and the beak should stay bicolor.

  8. Cube Says:

@ Emmanuel: Hmm, you might be right, but I think I’ll wait for further comments and improvement ideas, especially from the Scilab people.

  9. Sylvestre (from Scilab) Says:

    Hello Cube and others,

I must say that I really like your work.
    Just a few comments:
    * like Emmanuel, I would prefer a more round head (like in the Real World)
    * the beak should be closer from the reality
    for example:

Otherwise, if you have time of course, we would also be interested in a “second puffin” with more “3D apparency” like:

    (ie a not a crashed-by-a-car-effect ;) )

    Hey Sylvestre,

Yes, I’ll resize the head, good idea!

    Nice : )
